“I am interested in food. And when I applied to Food Systems in 2000, it clicked right away. The people are honest and down to earth. It’s all about results. Which means you can achieve a lot in a short space of time. And it’s amazing how easily things are organised here. You get whatever you need right away without any problems, and everybody is prepared to provide you immediately with the right support. Which is a must because we work a lot in multidisciplinary teams.
When I go to carry out tests for a customer, I take six different specialists with me, such as development fitters, service fitters and 0-series technologists. We deal mainly with leading companies, so our innovations have to be extensively verified.
I’m now also a project leader. And I’m busy forming consortiums to apply for subsidies for new developments. In this way I’m also getting to know the world outside technology better and better.”
