In developing the ACM system the possibilities for 8 and 9 piece ¨fast food¨cuts have effectively been taken into account. The specific cuts for chicken in 8 or 9 pieces are realised in several cutting modules.

Before hanging the carcasses into the ACM portioning system the required weights for 8 and 9 piece cutting are determined. Product sensors enable certain weights to be allocated to specific cutting modules or by-pass them.
