Layers/parent stock

To meet the increasing demand a great deal of attention has been given to the mechanisation of the processing operation for layers and female parent stock. The outcome is a processing line offering virtually complete mechanisation.

Layers

Owing to the large differences in weight and physique compared with broilers, specific attention had to be paid to the eviscerating process. Additionally, a technical solution has been found for the problematic operation of removing the ovaries. The combined vent cutting/opening machine, the eviscerating and final inspection machines have therefore been adapted.

Parent stock

Compared with layers, parent stock is both larger and broader, requiring the application of special machines. Depending on weight, chilling, weighing, portioning and filleting operations can be performed with the help of systems that are also employed for the processing of broilers.
