Introducing the TRDE-F5 Automatic Transfer Systems

Automatically transfers birds from one picking line to one eviscerating line or from one picking line to two eviscerating lines.

The new TRDE-F5 is an improvement on Stork's existing 20-year proven TRDE technology, with enhancements made to lower the cost of ownership, allow for more user-friendly electrical control and mechanical works, increase evisceration line speeds, and improved hygiene.

With the TRDE-F5, as with earlier rehangers, the birds are automatically transferred from one picking line to one evisceration line or from one picking line to two eviscerating lines. Modified conventional hock cutters are used to precut joints, leaving the legs attached by the tendons. Birds then enter the transfer system from the picking area where tendons are cut and birds are positioned into carriers, which then conveys into the evisceration side of the machine and places the birds into eviscerating shackles. If one picking line is supplying two eviscerating lines, the unit transfers every other bird; and the second unit transfers the remaining first bird. The picking and eviscerating overhead conveyors are electronically linked through a control panel. Because picking and eviscerating are not mechanically linked, line speeds are automatically controlled through PLC software to enhance line efficiency. Should the eviscerating line slow down or stop due to operation problems, the picking line continues to run; and the birds are dropped to a conveyor for manual rehang.
