HT-1 Head and Trachea Puller
Automatically removes the head with trachea and esophagus attached, when used in conjunction with Stork's side of head Killer Model B6-A.
The HT-1 is installed at a slightly declining position relative to the overhead conveyor and properly positions the head by means of guides and an auger. The heads are captured by the poly auger, synchronized to the line speed, rotating inside a housing causing the neck bone to break at the head, efficiently pulling and removing head, trachea and esophagus.
To assure that maximum quantity of neck skin remains on the neck, a cutting unit with a rotating blade makes an incision to the neck just below the head to minimize loss of neck skin when the head is removed.
In addition to the removal process the HT -1 also loosens the connective tissue of the viscera in the neck which is critical in achieving optimum performance from the PNT-24 Eviscerator.
Advantages
- Highly efficient removal process
- Improves eviscerator performance
- Handles bird flocks that are not uniform
- Minimizes neck skin loss with heads
- Heavy-duty construction
