HD-II/SG High Frequency Stunner

Designed to produce properly stunned birds for presentation to automatic killing machines for efficient, accurate bleeding cuts.

Stork developed the high frequency type stunner to achieve maximum results by varying incoming frequency to the desired stunning frequency, which is infinitely variable between 50 and 400 Hz.

Operation

Stunning is accomplished by applying high-frequency AC current to water bath. The birds, transported by means of an over-head conveyor, suspended in shackles, enter the stunner cabinet and make contact with the water (1% salt concentration for optimum stunning).

In accordance with USDA regulations, a perforated stainless steel pan is used to control a preset 1/8" water depth throughout the area the birds' heads are in contact with the water. The water bath has an automatic level control.
